Job description:
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Male Stores Assistants to join our pharmacy stores team. The Stores Assistants will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our stores by assisting with various tasks related to receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing pharmaceutical products and supplies. The ideal candidates should have strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Receiving and Inspection: Receive incoming goods, verify their contents against purchase orders or delivery notes, and inspect them for quality and accuracy. Report any discrepancies or damages to the Stores Supervisor.
2. Inventory Management: Assist in organizing and maintaining inventory levels in the stores. This includes labeling and categorizing products, conducting regular stock counts, and ensuring proper rotation of stock to prevent expired or damaged items.
3. Order Fulfillment: Pick and pack pharmaceutical products and supplies according to order requirements, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Prepare shipments for delivery, including proper packaging and labeling.
4. Stores Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe stores environment. Keep storage areas tidy, ensure proper placement of items, and follow safety protocols for handling and storing pharmaceutical products.
5. Equipment Operation: Operate stores equipment, such as lifts or pallet jacks, to safely and efficiently move products within the stores. Adhere to equipment operating procedures and safety guidelines.
6. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Complete relevant paperwork and documentation accurately and promptly, including receiving reports, inventory logs, and shipment records. Ensure proper filing and record-keeping for easy retrieval and audit purposes.
7. Collaboration: Work closely with other stores team members, including Stores Supervisors and fellow Stores Assistants, to ensure timely order fulfillment, resolve any inventory or logistical issues, and maintain a cohesive working environment.
Qualifications:
• WASSCE, MCA Certificate holder or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a stores or logistics environment is preferred.
• Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory and documentation.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Basic computer skills for inventory management and record-keeping purposes.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and willingness to adhere to them at all times.
• Flexibility to work in shifts and adapt to changing stores demands.

Reporting:
The Stores Assistant shall report directly to the Stores Supervisor.
