Job description: We are seeking dedicated and reliable Male Stores Assistants to join our pharmacy stores team. The Stores Assistants will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our stores by assisting with various tasks related to receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing pharmaceutical products and supplies. The ideal candidates should have strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. Key Responsibilities: 1. Receiving and Inspection: Receive incoming goods, verify their contents against purchase orders or delivery notes, and inspect them for quality and accuracy. Report any discrepancies or damages to the Stores Supervisor. 2. Inventory Management: Assist in organizing and maintaining inventory levels in the stores. This includes labeling and categorizing products, conducting regular stock counts, and ensuring proper rotation of stock to prevent expired or damaged items. 3. Order Fulfillment: Pick and pack pharmaceutical products and supplies according to order requirements, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Prepare shipments for delivery, including proper packaging and labeling. 4. Stores Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe stores environment. Keep storage areas tidy, ensure proper placement of items, and follow safety protocols for handling and storing pharmaceutical products. 5. Equipment Operation: Operate stores equipment, such as lifts or pallet jacks, to safely and efficiently move products within the stores. Adhere to equipment operating procedures and safety guidelines. 6. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Complete relevant paperwork and documentation accurately and promptly, including receiving reports, inventory logs, and shipment records. Ensure proper filing and record-keeping for easy retrieval and audit purposes. 7. Collaboration: Work closely with other stores team members, including Stores Supervisors and fellow Stores Assistants, to ensure timely order fulfillment, resolve any inventory or logistical issues, and maintain a cohesive working environment. Qualifications: • WASSCE, MCA Certificate holder or equivalent. • Prior experience in a stores or logistics environment is preferred. • Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods. • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory and documentation. • Good organizational and time management skills. • Basic computer skills for inventory management and record-keeping purposes. • Strong communication and teamwork abilities. • Familiarity with safety protocols and willingness to adhere to them at all times. • Flexibility to work in shifts and adapt to changing stores demands. Job description: Origin Chemist is looking for a responsible and trustworthy pharmacy support staff (Medicine Counter Assistant or Pharmacy Technician) to assist in smooth daily operations at our pharmacy. In this role, you will perform all clerical duties required for the efficient running of the pharmacy. The pharmacy support staff’s responsibilities include creating and maintaining patient files, placing orders for pharmaceutical supplies, and operating the cash register. You should also be able to direct patients’ medication-related questions to the pharmacist. To ensure success as a pharmacy assistant, you should demonstrate experience in the assistance of managing a pharmacy with best pharmacy practices. Pharmacy Technician or Medicine Counter Assistant’s Responsibilities: 1. Dispense medication and other medical products to patients under the supervision of the Pharmacist. 2. Count pills, label bottles, price, and compound medications to prepare prescriptions for patients as directed by the Pharmacist 3. Perform administrative duties, including answering phones, receiving and inputting prescription orders, operating cash registers, and restocking inventory 4. Gather, organize, and assess patient information 5. Supply patients with information and education on over-the-counter medications 6. Liaise with healthcare providers and patients to obtain correct prescription information 7. Answer patients' questions about their medications under the supervision of the Pharmacist 8. Take inventory of drugs on hand and record results 9. Place orders for additional drugs as directed by the Pharmacist 10. Maintain electronic patient information 11. Prepare billing information for medications 12. Complete patients' sales transactions for the purchase of prescription and over-the-counter medications as well as other products in the pharmacy 13. Ensure that the work premise is kept neat and tidy Qualification and Skills: 1. Certification of completion as a trained Medicine Counter Assistant or Pharmacy Technician from an accredited institution by the Ghana Pharmacy Council. 2. A practice licence number from Pharmacy Council is an added advantage. 3. Exceptional communication skills in interacting with patients 4. Ability to proactively follow up any irregularities with scripts processed at the pharmacy. 5. Competency in pharmacy management software 6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills 7.
